Boston bowl revisited

With my friends Joanna and Shane up here from NY, I had to take them bowling of course. Whenever Joanna is here we generally go bowling. Boston bowl is the definition of convenience in candlepin. They are open 24 hours, have candlepin and 10 pin, arcade, food , drinks and pool. I couldn't think the last time I've been there to tell the truth, mainly because its usually packed to the brim with small children and its expensive.
My anxiety is high when I go there because with having your own bowling balls, you get a little neurotic when someone reaches for them (aka children). So we decided to use the house balls on this trip to settle some of that anxiety.

Well they have a brand new scoring system and tv screens. The scoring system left me stressed and confused, but the one cool thing about it is that it tells you how fast you throw. You only bowl one box at a time there, I generally like to do 2.

I ended up bowling a 107 I think and threw about 20 mph, pretty cool.

Oh don't forget the struggle don't forget the Boston bowl socks

Malden Sq bowladrome/ Ryan's family amusements - Malden MA

Well Malden is really close to Boston and you wonder why we haven't gone there earlier? Well actually Garvey and I tried going a couple of years ago, we called and said they were open until 10. We got there at 8:45 and they told us they were closed....well then. So I've been pretty jaded on going back there, after 2 years later we finally made our way back over there.

I just recently got tattooed so after a couple of boxes I quickly had to sit out. While everyone was bowling I adventured around the alley. I went into the arcade and played a game on a very sad unkept crusin exotica. After playing one round a rude child belonging to a birthday party told me to get up. Well then.... So not feeling like dealing with an unruly crowd of angry children I made my way back to everyone bowling. Mike actually broke 100 for the first time.

This place was NOT cheap at all. I was actually happy I sat out of 1 1/2 games. I think it was 4.50/ string? I probably won't head back, but hey it was one check off the list and that's the important part.

Leo's Super Bowl - Amesbury MA

Well after a bust of trying to go record shopping we ended up in amesbury again. This time we checked out Leo's and it was pretty cool. It's big and fancy in my opinion. It has a big arcade, drinks, new looking lanes.
It wasn't very cheap, so we only bowled two strings. I hate feeling bankrupt after bowling. I feel like it should be more affordable so I can do it more often.

In the arcade they have a pin setter, we ended up having to put in like 2 dollars for it to finally work. I don't really remember how well I bowled since this was in June I think ? It's a cool place, but if I was in amesbury I'd probably go back to riverwalk since it was cheaper.
